At the moment, nobody is converting the videos.Misthafalls wrote:Hi all,

Why? Not enough time in the day.
Never tried camtasia, but if you can do a few samples, and put them up someplace, that would be nice. The codec must be ogg/theora though.
Here is a preliminary sample of what has been done: http://download.gna.org/warzone/videos/ ... 20x240.ogg (Note, it is ~18MB big!)
Still playing around with the bitrate to use, and what filters (if any) and all that good stuff.

Oke here i have my videofile of devastation:
http://www.bits-dev.nl/Devastation.ogv
The quality is near the same (maybe a bit lower, but not much too be noticeable), while the videosize has been reduced to 11mb.
So i hope this is a good achievement

Re: Everything you wanted to know about Warzone's FMVs.
Well i recorded everything from cd 1 xD, but havent converted it to the right codec (ill do that later on).
But my main question is that some video's are apart while they are one part during the mission debriefing etc
So what should i do with that, keep it like that or combine them?
Oh sorry for the bumb, just noticed

CD 1? I thought CD 2 had all the FMVs?
Anyway, each video would have to be like they have them now.
It wouldn't help to combine them, since that would require more work on the scripts...
For the video you did, looks good.
What was the command line you used for ffmpeg2theora?

Re: Everything you wanted to know about Warzone's FMVs.
I used the following to create devastation (BTW im telling all my steps to show how i completly did it )
The audiobitrate was done in camtasia only thing that ffmpegtheora did was convert it into .ogg
(Audio recording)
Audiochannels: 1
Samplingrate: 22050Hz
Audiobitrate: 353kb/s
For the video i recorded with camtasia:
(Video recording):
Size video: 320x240
Codec: Camstudio Lossless v1
Then converting into .ogg (.ogv) was offcourse done with ffmpeg2theora which i did with the following commandline:
ffmpeg2theora.exe --videobitrate 900 --optimize devastation.avi

If memory serves, CD1 has CAM1 and the ending, while CD2 has CAM2 and CAM3.Buginator wrote:CD 1? I thought CD 2 had all the FMVs?
