In 30 days.
That's what happened during my November, also known as "National Novel-Writing Month" or NaNoWriMo.
It's only a first draft. It's not edited, heck, it's not even complete -- I had to skip a few chapters during the writing process. And it wouldn't be publishable anyway (the story is fan fiction). But it is 70,000 words long. It is a story with a start, middle, and end. And the process of writing it was totally fun.
So I wrote a novel.

That's Awesome. Never heard of NaNoWriMo though.
Perhaps doing something like that over a month would help me pound out that first rough draft of the many books I'd thought about writing.
