Smilies are a matter of preference. The smilies we currently have are really the best we can do - any other smiley set we switch to, and a lot of people will prefer the old one.

Don't change the old smiles! :| :? :) :D XD :3 :( :lol2: :o  O_o :x :stressed: :P     8) :augh: :stare:  :annoyed: :hmm: :geek: :lecture: :ninja:  :!!!: :...:

They look good & beauty :3

But what happened with the "scream" & "gonk" smiles?

Does there's more smiles than the current ones we have when we are typing a reply? if so, send a screenshot of them.

Regards BP

"gonk" was renamed "augh".

"scream" was removed to promote a friendlier forum atmosphere!

More seriously, it was removed because "stressed" and "augh" were close enough.

I would still like to kill all animations, since it annoys somehow.

Oh no..

Kamaze..

It is necessary to express peoples points of view and emotions..

Without smiles it would look like newspaper or office raport..

Why all are so against smiles..

I think he just speaks about animated smilies. Many people hate animations on web pages because their eyes suffer from all this constant unnecessary movement (not me yet)
