New master snapshot 20110801 has been released!

New master snapshot. Its a bugfix release.

Changelog:
GeneralUIGraphicsMultiplayer
  • Fix: Maps Startup, Basingstoke, Littleegypt, Rollinghills, Bananas, Beggarskanyon, Mizamaze, Thepit and Yinyyang, which were broken by an error in the conversion to ini format (#2833, ca8595f25a)
  • Fix: Only reset authentication flags when logout succeeded (2cb5bab031)

Bug Reports:
This release probably contains bugs, please report them so they can be fixed.

See BugReporting for details, in short:
  • Search the existing tickets for your problem, if the problem has already been fixed in git, the ticket will be closed.
  • If there is an open one already, feel free to add more info to it.
  • If there is no report yet, make a new ticket (one per issue).
  • Be as detailed as possible in both summary and description, and either log in with your forum account or leave an email address so we can contact you if we need more information.
  • The more information we have, the easier it is to fix problems (or the other way around, the harder it is for us to reproduce a problem, the less likely it is to get fixed), so include savegames/instructions to reproduce the bug, crashdumps, backtraces, screenshots for graphical problems... whatever is relevant.
  • When you attach files to a ticket, please add each text/image file separately and uncompressed, so we can view them easily in trac (savegames can and should be zipped, they consist of name.gam, possibly name.es, and the files in the name/ folder).

how do you guys determine when a new release will be released?
I can't find a schedule or anything that points to what is currently going on.
Is there a blog page someplace?

Have played few games, so far so good =). haven't seen any serious bugs, but I've played only Me & my friend vs. AI. Test on army limits - de-syncs haven't been detected. The only problem is FPS on high video settings, its about 15 fps on my PC (core 2,2 /2GbDDR2/GT8600256mb) & lowering settings seems don't really solve the problem.

Terminator: You tried with vsync = Off right? because that solved FPS issues for me when things got busy and stuff

Right, I always turn it off in all games. Will try with it.

Btw. there is a problem with login thing. In previous snapshot when you log-in, the "login" button - gone so player can see that he is actually logged. now both login & logout always in the bottom. :hmm:

why is the scrolling so fracked up compared to 2.3.8?
there is lots of stuttering while trying to pan the display in any direction.
my nvidia 460 plays all the other games I throw at it, so is this a bug?

Enter "showfps" in the chat and see if the FPS are down when that happens, if yes its a bug we are working on.

I wonder what this is, I had this problem in the previous master, but in this release it is suddenly gone and everything runs fine :shock:
I am playing with full settings, means 1680x1050, textures: 2048, VS: On, FSAA: 8x

The only thing that changed is my videocard-driver from nvidia. I own a 260 GTX and nvidia lately released a new driver, 280.26.
I donĀ“t know if it is because of the new driver but everything runs great now.

Maybe it helps trying the new driver and test Warzone again?

Not really solved, just worked around by using different font rendering.
