I can't appreciate the problem about sensor range versus target range: it's all pretty obvious. But there used to be a key-command that let you switch on the "range circles" of all range weapons. It was useful in small doses, but with a lot of cannon etc on the screen, you ended up in a sea of red arcs.

I tried your mod (difficulty +3) and it was much more like the earlier betas, except that the AI seemed to act a little bit smarter. It seemed to analyse my defenses and to avoid senseless airforce attacks as soon as my air defense was in place. Perhaps just imagination. I will try higher levels as soon as I find the time.
BUT: Are you sure that the AI isn't broken in the unmodded Beta8?

Anyway, if your mod makes it into the release, it's gonna be perfect again.

BTW, I had 2 issues playing the game which probably are not related to using the mod (#1463,#1464)

Please reinstall X11 - your installation of X11 was corrupted for some reason.

X11 can be found on your Snow Leopard DVD.

As Zarel mentioned you need X11 installed for Warzone to work; it will not be installed by default if you do a fresh install of 10.6 on a blank drive (interestingly a fresh from the factory machine will have it intalled).

Also I would recommend making sure you are actually using beta 8, if you were that line would read:

Code: Select all

Version: 2.3 Beta 8 (9359)
