Well, the warzone community has once again outlasted the original developers. Though I feel like it was once again Eidos's fault, though I am not so sure about this current issue.

Uuh, the new Beta is unplayable.
The main menu is invisible.
It's clickable, but the words aren't there. I'm not the only one with this problem.

EDIT: We have a fix now. It's in the topic i mentioned.

Beta 4 huh? That's good to hear. Making lots of betas means that you're working hard to get LOTS of bugs fixed before you release 2.1 "ultimate". I expect that to be great, and, finally, with music and fmvs. Warzone will shine again...

Ok i'm gonna play it right now :)

Music
The only thing is...
That's not the official/original music. I'll keep using that, it's just perfect as is. Not that I don't like the new tracks :P

You know, I have an idea that might sound pretty good..Two actually...

Well my first idea, why don't we (or you makers =P) make it to where we can put our own music to the game, not saying the music is bad, i like it, sounds good for domination, it's just an idea i thought of...

And what about voice chat?... =] Again, just an idea..

Possible already. The game is moddable to some extend, and this includes the music.
On Unix you have a ~/.warzone2100-2.1/music/ folder where you can put the music (plus playlist) into, and on Windows exists a similar directory. The information about that should be in the Readme, all nicely written by Kreuvf.

Voice chat, free, open, crossplatform, it actually works, and it has good quality at low bandwidth.

What file are you searching for?

Ok.. I put one mp3 file there ,and i remade the readme file, but the music still won't come on in the game... this is how i did the read me...

The music in this package is made and provided by these people, in alphabetical order:

[game]
path=.
shuffle=yes
Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots - Theme of Love.mp3

[menu]
path=.
shuffle=yes
Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots - Theme of Love.mp3

I'm really confused, and i looked on the readme where it told me to find the certain folder to put it in, the file wasn't there...

The problem is about the format you are using. The files must be .ogg to be played, so just look for a mp3-to-ogg converter.
Another thing is that the filename needs to be one-word only and, if I remember correctly, there shouldn't be capital letters in it.
I always rename try to use simple names for the files I use as soundtrack, like trackone.ogg, tracktwo.ogg, etc.

[good choice of music. I've been listening to MGS1 soundtrack these days and now you gave me the idea to use the "escape" theme (you know, the one which you hear while you go down the tower with the rope or -best scene of the game IMO- when Gray Fox dies) as background music. I'll give it a try :P ]

Alright, do you have a mp3-to-ogg thing i can use since you know it much?..

[And thank you, I like all the songs from the MGS series, i finally found the actual theme of love fro mthe mgs4, not the battle one from Super smash bros... but the guitar and achordian one..]

btw, do you have xfire?..I wanna add a lot of people here

[EDIT: lol i should post less in this thread.]
