Re: Cheaters IP.
*ughh cheaters* First, I would like to say a player going by the name Phaser cheats - confirmed and admitted, he was my ally, never build a single oil derrick the whole game it seemed he only power cheated, on a high oil map. I always asked if the host minded in games I did not host, (though I did s...

Re: VTOL and the rearming pad
I build my rearming pads next to repair facilities (3 along each side, not the corners), now that repair facilities auto target, it works great. It dramatically speeds up repair time, so damaged vtols don't take up as much time on the rearming pad. It would be nice if they would fly to repair facili...

Re: successor for Bunker Buster
Reducing the muzzle velocity goes completely against the point of high-velocity kinetic kill. Depends on the reduction in velocity. If you fire at mach 7, and hit at mach 5 at one range, for a closer range, you can fire at mach 6 and hit at mach 5. And indirect fire weapons often can be used as dir...

Re: Body balance
If I give both side 10k power, and one side builds vengenace scourge, and the other twin gauss dragons, I think the scourge win. I'm talking about trading manufacturing time for extra "resource value" Have one tank body clearly be the best body for the money, but also the slowest producing...

Build time
Does anyone know the build time formula? It doesn't seem to be a matter of weight or cost, unless there are body "size" modifiers like for vtol speed. Panthers build faster than mantis bodies, despite being heavier and more expensive. Leopards build *slightly* faster than scorpions (nearly...

Re: nuclear missile silo!
I want the ability to build an launch space ships to fight the laser sats.
And then mine the asteroids and such, and make a space fleet.
Would it turn WZ into something completely different?
Yes

Re: Body balance
I am also puzzled by build time, and cannot do any calculations with it. I just know that nexus bodies build slower than np bodies, can't really quantify it. I thought it might be related to cost, or HP. I assume a trucks "build points" stat relates to how fast it repairs, and how fast it ...

Re: successor for Bunker Buster
... and projectile B travels twice as fast to the target ... In that case, it is not valid as the 20 degree firing solution, as there is only one possible velocity that would allow a 20 degree launch elevation to impact a certain spot. Which would mean the launch elevation would have to be reduced ...

Re: successor for Bunker Buster
would require an unfeasible amount of energy, as the muzzle velocity would have to be exponentially greater than the impact velocity. This is simply not true. While air resistance does increase as the square of the speed, that doesn't mean the needed energy increases with the square of the speed. I...

Re: Maps: Symmetric vs. Asymmetric
There are different levels of symmetry. A basic reflection of half the map, can be somewhat boring. A reflection along the X and Y axis is especially boring, and not needed for "balance" on team maps. Rotational symmetry, can be a little more fun. I just played a new-ish 4v4 map a few days...

... This describes the kill method once the projectile reaches the target ... This one was to refute High Velocity Kinetic Kill at indirect trajectory. A parabolic trajectory dictates an un-powered projectile will not impact at any greater velocity than it's terminal velocity, which really does lim...

Ummmm I'm going to guess you don't play multiplayer. Consider a leopard It is weaker (in HP and armor) than a scorpion. It is slower than a scorpion It is more expensive than a scorpion It takes longer to research than Scorpion How is it in *any* way useful? Are you going to tell me you've made it t...

... Options #1 high velocity kinetic kill ... This is entering the domain of direct-fire, where adding an HE payload and impact fuze greatly weakens the structural integrity of a KE slug, while adding very little in terms of potential armour-piercing ability or concussive force. I fail to see what ...

Ok, well call the scav garage the post apocalyptic soldier recruitment bar and tavern
I'm just looking for things already in game that would save effort at implementation.
The less work it takes to do, the more likelihood it will at least show up in a mod.

I'm going to ignore the "pissing match" of the last two pages, and just ask about this: I have done some testing with truckspin about build times of buildings... sometimes i takes 40 something seconds for 1 truck to build a fac, sometimes 60 something seconds... AND this can happen in the ...
