Re: Warzone 2100 licensing and copyright issues
OK, several things: First, DON'T change the GPL itself. If you make a changed version of it, you cannot call it GPL anymore. (For the same reason I'd keep the GPL text always in a separate file; I think there was a question on the mailing list about that some time ago.) To relicense something you ne...

Re: Drive Mode
would it not still be in the original source files?? ??? Yes, and it was removed in the Berlios SVN, which isn't publicly accessible anymore. My current patches removed just some leftover stuff, most was long gone. Of course the original source also contains the code, but isn't in a very usable sta...

Re: Drive Mode
That should be "still exists". Most of the PSX code was removed when the project was still on Berlios. Unfortunately, the SVN repository isn't publicly available anymore, so you can't check that code...most of the code required for the drive mode already exists

Re: Game Segfaults on Startup
That's an strace, not a backtrace. To get a backtrace, run Warzone (ideally a debug version) in gdb (in a terminal window): $ gdb warzone2100 > r --window --viewport 800x600 [windowed, because otherwise you can't get at the gdb window, and small enough to fit your screen windowed] [crash] > bt > bt ...

Re: My warzone is running very slowly...
It is extremly slow. I dont know what it is, but it is so bad its not running a single frame per second. Even in the main menu. The slowness in the menu means that Warzone is using software OpenGL. I guess either Warzone uses some OpenGL function your card/driver does not support, or something is w...

Re: Adjust gamma/brightness?
The keys work only in the 3D view, not in the menu. And there's a problem of the gamma being reduced by 0.05 upon returning to the menu if you have changed the gamma in-game... I have to investigate that. EDIT: new patch.

Re: Adjust gamma/brightness?
The current source ignores the gamma setting. I sent a patch to enable it to the mailing list (though I fear something might have eaten it on its way since it hasn't arrived yet...).

Re: dev_package outdated?
You need the dev package that's on gna.org, go to http://download.gna.org/warzone/development/. And someone needs to update COMPILE.html, or remove it completely, since COMPILE seems to be more up to date.
