You know some of Project devs have planned to remove IDs of components and use only names.
So your version with icons named by using actual component name can be useful in future, but not sure

Commanders are not good in MP in cause of many reasons.
- too few units in group (6-10 units is too few even for low-oil)
- bad pathfinding
Btw, i'm not sure, but do we need commanders in MP? Just to get free 4% buff for your units?
So may be role of commandec can be reevaluated for MP?

I did not played some months but I think TAC (Twin Assault Cannon) can be made weaker a bit.
Historically cannons were weak in early game and were overpowered a bit in late game..
