Re: I hate ripples
I normally DON'T like high/infinite resource maps on any rts game, as from my own experiences with them, matches tended to devolve into masses of units being thrown against eachother constantly. In fact, let me tell you a story about one of my experiences with such a map that happened several years ...

Re: Defensive Strategy
Here are a few pointers that are not only useful in Warzone 2100, but for other rts games as well: 1. Keep an eye on what your opponent is up to so that you can properly counter them. Scout their base every now and then. If your opponent uses lancers or cannons on tracked vehicles, counter with cybo...

Re: Friendly Fire ?!!!!
Just keep your units away from any of your artillery's targets, potential or otherwise, and you should be fine... usually.

Re: Hardened Machinegun Guard Tower
While I'm fine with using machinegun bunkers over machinegun towers in early defense due to their better armor, I'd sure like to use mini-rocket pods on bunkers or hardpoints, as hardened towers aren't exactly the best at defense, even though they could allow you to shoot over walls. Anyways, like I...

Re: Worm holes/portholes
Warzone 2100 seemed near-futuristic to me instead of far-futuristic. What's the difference? Well, technologies that we can expect in the near-future, like laser weapons, railguns, nanobots, automated repair systems, and even laser-propulsion (if you don't believe me, then look it up) are present, bu...

What if Warzone 2100 had a sequel?
I'm interested in finding out what you guys think a sequel to Warzone 2100 should be like, even if it's a spiritual sequel that is located in a different universe than Warzone 2100. I'd personally imagine that gameplay would be changed up quite a bit, though certain core aspects, such as researching...

Do you listen to your own music tracks in Warzone 2100?
Personally, instead of listening to Warzone 2100's tiny selection of music tracks over and over, I'd rather listen to certain playlists full of music tracks depending on the situation that I'm in: calm tracks for when I'm building up my forces in safety; tense, quiet tracks for when there are hostil...

Re: Different types of VTOL's
I was personally thinking of the following kinds of aircraft in general, though methinks they should be reserved for either mods or a proper or spiritual sequel for now: Helicopters: the forerunners of VTOLs as we know them today, they'd be somewhat slow, but also somewhat durable compared to other ...

Re: New feature: DROID'S SHIELD
Is it OK to bump a thread as inactive as this? Only one way to find out... Personally, instead of adding a new tab specifically for whether or not players would want to add shields to their vehicles (in which case you might as well use the same tab for other optional add-ons, like additional armor, ...

Saving unit designs in-between multiplayer/skirmish matches.
Are you tired of having to go through the process of designing your favorite units (such as Machinegun Viper Wheels or Heavy Cannon Python Tracks, though you might wish to name them as something else) in each new multiplayer or skirmish match over and over and over again? Well, what if we could desi...

Re: Community Introductions
Hello there. I'm Shadow Wolf TJC, and this was the very 1st rts game that I ever played, and by far, one of my most memorable and influential. I 1st heard of this game while I was trying out various demoes of games that I found in Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko for the PS1. I liked how you could control an...
