Re: Warzone 2100 2.1 Beta 2 released
As far as i can see now you've integrated the One Player Skirmish to Multiplayer games... Therefore i cant decrease game speed anymore (this was absolutely essential for me in games vs. Computer). Or am i missing something? You are selecting "Multi Player Game" -> "One Player Skirmis...

Re: Blank Terrain on 2.1 Beta but NOT on any other versions....
All that 2.0 adds is shaders (or was that 2.1?) so it's not that bad really. Plus we only depend on OpenGL 1.1 which is a good thing IMO (as this allows it to run on very old devices).Buginator wrote: Warzone don't use openGL2.0 sadly. :'(

Re: Where are the screenshots?
Humm, why is it again they cannot use the warzone directory? You mean the installation directory? Because that's bad, very bad as it requires administrator access just to be able to store config files. (And administrator access is also required to trash your system, so it's a good thing if people d...

Warzone 2100 2.1 Beta 1 released
Hello everyone! Finally, after many, many months, we have started a new release cycle. Namely the 2.1 series, which kicks off today with a first beta; Warzone 2100 version 2.1-beta1. This version introduces a multitude of new features, of which these are the most prominent ones: Internationalisa...

Re: Game ends suddenly
So... do I have to wait for 2.1 to begin my translation? If you use any of these files: http://svn.gna.org/svn/warzone/trunk/po/ then those are for the current pre-2.1 codebase. So no you don't have to wait for 2.1. In fact if you start now your (partial) translation could be included in 2.1! You t...

Re: Game ends suddenly
I'll do dutch then :) Dutch has some translations here & there already (by me, but I'm too lazy to do more than the easy sentences/words/terms). You can grab it here, improve it and send it back to us if you wish: http://svn.gna.org/svn/warzone/trunk/po/nl.po You can either use a plain text edi...

Re: Game Saves
No i mean, "what is also only availible in the trunk version of the game?" :P This is: The other way it to use multiple configdirs, and then you can pick which savegame 'set' you want. The format for that is --configdir c:\wzconfig1 (or whatever you want to name it) **the directory MUST...

Re: itunes support
OGG has better sound quality at low bitrates, means <= 128 Kbit/s. Anything above doesn't really matter, since the difference will be very hard to notice. Actually I do notice the difference... Kage, 50%? I think you mixed something up :) OGG isn't very well supported on mobile media players becaus...

Re: First model
but if this struct would get rendered with the typical warzone "conform to the terrain" method for defensive structs, then it'd probably look pretty bad. Note that Per has been working on this lately. I believe one of his possible solutions was continuing buildingmodels into the ground so...

The ones with "-soft" at the end of their filenames (they aren't used, so there's no need to provide them/work on them).Laserlight wrote: By "soft textures" what do you mean? :-\

Try Blender with the PIE import/export scripts (just search the forums for them). You can probably export those to the above format with Blender.

Happy new year to all!
As I'm writing this message 2007, is being shot to shreds by huge pieces of artillery, er, fireworks. This has been a year of increasing activity. We've seen the number of Warzone users grow tremendously. Alongside that the amount of people contributing code and art has seen a rise as well. But addi...
