The benefit of EasyGen is, that you can see your hightmap "live" in 3D. Also you can texture it, to have a kind of map-preview. You can arrange your draft hightmap in any paint-software, import it in easygen, than work on the details in easygen. Espacially good for Mountain chains etc. ;) ...

The edge-brush problem seems to be related to the desert-tileset(C1). With the two other tilesets and texturesize 64, I have no problems. OK, I found workaround how to use Edge-Brushes. If I start new map, I can use edge-brush, but if I load, my saved map, choosing EB leads the editor to CTD. :rolleyes: So, I have to start new map, choose the brush I want to use, than load my map.
