Splitting online is a mistake. Even big online games can't do that. E.g. I played one online game in past. It had about 30 maps that chose randomly in matchmaking. It seems that we can not simply make 3 different texture sets for tilesets because it's hardcoded only to classic texpages (or I am missing something). So, we need another way to specify textures for this or, as I mentioned before, use mask method to overlay sand and snow ontop of textures specified...

It's sad but I do them the way they can't be used even for cutscenes( they are too unoptimized for rendering - too much polys. My workflow is so that I save time on everything. So they are good to bake smooth geometry into texture but it takes about 2-3 minutes for one frame(hope my next CPU will do...

Some new models from svn only work in vulkan pr (future 3.5.0 release), so for 3.4.0 you should use old armod_3.3.0.wz
as for palette, just delete it from the mod.

We're currently in process of moving from object-space normal maps to tangent-space.

Can't some shaders be baked to texture when there is no need for that? that's why I'm asking. Adding 2 more sets of textures will raise just requirements of hdd space... but who cares about this in 2020? On the other hand, it's not a progressive way to develop games. People complain about t2-t3 games on flat 4x4 maps? funny to read. No one cares about hundreds of bugs that were fixed, that's sad. How should we handle this stuff in armod? make different textures for each terrain tileset or make universal texture and later (probably) add shaders that will add extra effects like snow, sand, wet materials?

Hey, nick87720z, I really like your sounds except assault gun. Some sounds are a bit too loud, some adjustments needed, but overall that's a good start on improving an outdated stuff. As for assult gun, I think it could be like this or this :)
