Per wrote:That would be useful. As you can see, we still have a few .txt files remaining. Any help transforming those to .ini would be appreciated.
Send me PM what to what. Or just do something and send result?

Re: need help reading .ini file

I can tell you what every line in the .ini files is for, but I can't tell you what 'v' in a php script I've never read is... Hi Per, if you project still needs converter from txt to ini I can rewrite it in python. I think old one is outdated since we rename/remove some fields and simplify some files.

Re: Upgrades

I don't want a solution that is so clever that nobody except seasoned javascript veterans will understand it. Thanks. Flat is better than nested. map, forEach and other high class functions is more readable than cycles. Yes functional approch is more complex then imperative, but it has more benefit...

Re: Upgrades

IMHO it looks much cleaner, and you can specify what you can to do in the .ini file as requested. Example hint string from research.ini: results = "Armour:35", "HitPoints:35", "Cyborgs" var bodies = {'cyborg' : cyborgBodies, droid: 'droidBodies'} result = 'cyborg_armour_35, cyborg_hitPoints_35' // ...

Re: Upgrades

@Duha: Having JS functions in .ini would be grim IMHO. I don`t say about javascript in ini!!!! Simple update is something like: function = Termal30 Ini contains only function name function = upgradeTermal function = userDefindeUpgrade Search name in mod_research.js, after that in base_research.js a...

aubergine wrote: A solution to this would be a filter text box above the map list, so I could start typing in a map name and the list would get filtered to show only maps containing the string I've typed in.
If you talk about addon sight try filter by title.
In other cases It just map name.

Re: addons author_mapname?

why are some people doing that? if you open up the map file it tells you who made it so what is the reason you guys name it like that? Did you invite "some people" to this thread.? the problem is the actual map name gets lost and you can't sort it correctly :annoyed: Is it real problem? Does order ...
