Re: Rough Roadmap?
*cough* postprocessing *cough* Dunno how hard it would be to implement, but it would probably go fairly painlessly on top of whatever rendering is already present. Just add another framebuffer before dumping the image onto the screen, allowing for a custom fragment shader to play with. Would allow ...

Re: Very low fps
When I get my code up and running I'll take a quick peek. You say you just have it run for a few minutes and it starts slowing down? Is it related to number of units on screen, or just number of players in general?

Re: Very low fps
Should we add threading support?
C++11, Qt threading or Boost.Thread should fix most of the issues.

Re: Rough Roadmap?
Ooh, the good old stencil shadowing :) it's been a while. I won't mind looking at the terrain- and lighting engine then. Shouldn't be a problem trying to get it all up to spec :) Optimizing code and doing cool GFX awesomeness are among my favorite coding pastimes. I'll see to it that the code will b...

Re: Info on who to talk to when wanting to help?
Basically, if someone shouts out what they feel is important, I'd be happy to look :) ... - Construction menu too long. We need categories for different type of buildings (applies to scirmish/mp mode) ... - Research menu has lack of information. We need to be able to show research paths somethere.(...

Re: Rough Roadmap?
OK :) I'll dust off my red book. I think I'll best not work on code you are actively working on, especially if there are no documented designs.. Don't want to run into the situation where I am undoing your design as I go. As far as shadowing and terrain rendering, can you tell me why you'd want this...

Re: Info on who to talk to when wanting to help?
My main development environment would be MSVS (preferrably 2013) for now.. Reason for me asking is it will convert the files for me, but when I check those in you will start getting errors.. Maybe it's best I go the 2k10 route for now? What is the main branch to start developing from? I'm assuming M...

Re: Rough Roadmap?
are the changes to be made or design decisions/ideas documented somewhere? would hate to get in anyones way.. also.. what would be the requirements for a new shadowing code or terrain renderer? I have papers for a whole host of algorithms for (immediate/deferred) (dynamic/static) (volumetric/normal)...

Re: Rough Roadmap?
Any news on what the required/preferred new features in the rendering code should be?
As far as the rendering code goes.. what is "missing" to bring in AR content? or has all of this been fixed already?

Are the tickets in traq up to date? I see a lot of -REALLY- old tickets still open there.. If there is anything (like the guide/techtree) anyone would like assistance on or see prioritized, just let me know. Agreed on the debugging = good introduction :) What visual studio version are the project fi...

Info on who to talk to when wanting to help?
Hello! New on the boards, busy playing again since yesterday :) Good to see this long time favorite of mine is still as good as ever :) I do software dev/design for a living and would like to know if and how I can pitch in to make this project even better than it already is.. Wanting to do some more...
