Yep, you need either flamers on fast propulsion (fragile) or surround (relies on your tactics skill). If you manage to split your slow flamer army in two, attack the enemy army from two sides at once and sandwich it, it should be an instant win. I made a post about this as well regarding the Alpha 2 issues, submitted a bug report also. Seems to be pretty consistent with 3.x downloads. Skip level cheat doesn't work for it either.

There is an option to pick a colour you prefer in options. you cant disable random player colours in multi player games and who would want too if some one already has your colour you prefer what else is there but random. Thermite bombs are fast though. I'd do that with plasmite bombs(although nothing would be standing anyway) but thermites on any body go quickly and by the time I decide I want to make another run I'll probably be out of bombs.

Mousemaster's guide is somewhat ineffective now, since its heavily outdated. Still, it's nice to use as a sort of map if you're stuck on a part, however his tactics aren't so much viable anymore.

Well to be fair I've only seen this happen to my commanders twice before I stopped using them. When it gets low and it goes to retreat, it blocks up its group, gets stuck in front of everyone and dies. That's how it goes when I use commanders.

I prefer HEAPs personally, I like when things go down fast so I don't have to wait and see if I need to make another pass.

Hmm really? In my experience, cannon borgs seem to barely tickle early-mid game, when you compare it to a Medium+ or HV cannon turret.
