Main menu difficulty levels?
What do they do? I asked this question in another thread but received no attention. I know what the AI difficulty levels do, but this is a mystery to me.

I was actually talking about AI difficulty, the slider thing (EDIT: not a slider in 3.1), not the one in the menu, which I suppose the cheat would change. Um, what's the difference, anyway?

Anyway, and obviously, one wouldn't have to use the feature, so it would be there for those who want it. Everyone else wouldn't have to touch it. Win win.

The definition of turn-based is you have turns. Pausing the game doesn't equal having turns. It's a comfort feature, like speeding up to avoid boredom.
P.S. Yeah, I'd love to figure out why slowing down and speeding up don't work for me. I think I'll try a reinstall before anything else.

By the way, nothing happens when I press ctrl minus. And if I press ctrl equals, the game assigns a unit to a group. Well, I suppose slowing down (even to a pause) serves the same purpose, but I don't find it as user friendly as instant pausing would be. Surely it's a feature that can be added?
