Re: Commanders

cmdr survivability is low when you can kill them through their own attached units or friendly structures. or said units pin them in position.
one of the best uses for a cmdr is defence, since their 'fire support' option allows some player control of defensive structures.

Re: Hello old friend (aka: First impressions in years)

a 15% time/cost penalty per extra lab on the project would fix that.

Re: Hello old friend (aka: First impressions in years)

im confused as to why spreading research across multiple labs would cause imbalance.
surely if the lab time is being used to parallel research a given project, it isnt being used to research another project?

Re: does sequence from psx and pc version has same quality?

at some point it may take the video's to be redone using the updated models the game is getting.

though the only real difference i can remember is that the uk psx version has voicing for the collective that sounded more machine/borg-like then that of the current one.

Re: Noob needs help (Repair)

at the start of campaign an easy way to keep your stuff alive is to leave your rep droids at base & tell your units to retreat at medium damage.

Re: warzone 2100 on playstation 2

looks the same as the 1.x versions hosted here but you cant build layered walls, have no multi-player/skirmish and are limited to 40 units.

Re: AI Flaw = Late game Vehicle Designs

i wouldnt quite let the ai have that level of omniscience.
since that would let the player spam a bunch of rubbish designs into their template list.

Re: Firing through things

I would opt to disagree. I think that Warzone 2100, being a strategic war game and not a literal war simulation, should employ certain features to keep gameplay fun. if i wanted to play #@%&craft i wouldnt be playing wz2100. :stare: starcraft is not an rts :annoyed: its an execrable little twit...

Re: Maps: Symmetric vs. Asymmetric

any map can be fair.
its just easier to make it symetrical rather then the trial & error process of designing asymmetrical maps.

it really boils down to resource control.
