Re: Warzone 2100: Contingency (Beta now released)
1. Wind turbines seem to be showing up as radar blips after I build a radar detector. Yeah. When I was making the Wind Turbines, I didn't know how to create animated structures, like what you see with the Factory's fan, or with the Oil Derricks, so I kinda cheated and made them into sensors with a ...

Re: Balance details
After messing around a bit with the stats, I have some questions for balance. 1) Why are some emplacements MEDIUM strength, and others are HARD? The same goes for towers. No, you cannot see the difference between MEDIUM and HARD towers visually. I think this inconsistent, and players cannot take in...

Re: Warzone 2100: Contingency (Beta now released)
You're right. I changed Contingency's tier-limiting files from .js files into .inc files sometime in the past, but forgot to do the same for both tier-limiting mods that come bundled with Contingency. They should be fixed in the next release.

Re: Warzone 2100: Contingency (Beta now released)
Have you tried putting one of them into the autoload folder alongside Contingency? (Note: putting both of them into the autoload folder is NOT recommended due to them overwriting eachother.)

Re: Reimplementing CTRL for regrouping (1.10 behaviour)
We have that as well; they must be asking for something else (i have no idea what though ... adding tanks to numbered groups via ctrl+clicking? never heard of anything like that in the mainstream RTSes) We may use SHIFT+clicking instead. At least I think we do. I haven't played this game for a long...

Re: make usefull hints for new players in loading times
Shadow Wolf TJC. Yes you have usefull info-hints. But I think it should be shorter, & let noobi player think, don't recommend any tactics. OK, 1st of all, what's wrong with offering newbies some advice for them to start off with? Are you afraid of being overwhelmed by more noobs turned l33ts? :...

Re: Accuracy straw poll
Personally, I wish that there was a "Supreme Commander" option in the poll, where while the accuracy system is physics-based, there are random rolls for how far the shots can deviate from the center of the intended target. In such a system, projectiles would usually have a greater chance o...

Re: make usefull hints for new players in loading times
Of course. That's why I've always felt that the Rockets line alone is so viable (and maybe a bit OP) in low-oil games. Players could use MRAs and Seraphs against Cyborgs, and Lancers, Tank Killers, and Scourge against tanks. No need to split off some research into Machineguns or Flamers.

Re: make usefull hints for new players in loading times
Here's a few more hints that I can think of: "Building a Power Module on a Power Generator will cause it to generate more power." "Building a Research Module on a Research Facility will reduce the time that it takes to research new technology." "If enemy artillery is harassi...

Re: Javascript API documentation
rules.js uses alliancesType for victory conditions - so things like Enhanced SitRep Mod and Contingency Mod might be affected, but it should be trivial to make them adapt to the change. Speaking of which, what exactly is the change - been frantic IRL recently and not been keeping up with the qtscri...

Re: Infinite Power Mod
Can you post the exact path where mods go? I looked in the instructions and I found several places where mods could go. i.e. do the mods go into a "mods" subdir under the EXE directory tree, or the c:\documents and settings\ tree? The wiki is not specific. See http://developer.wz2100.net/...

Re: Accuracy straw poll
@Iluvalar: Given all of your disagreements with where Warzone 2100's development is heading (regardless of whether or not they have merit, and people agree with you), I think that you should consider forking Warzone 2100, like bendib and LordApocalypse did.

Granted, though that wish that you would wish for was corrupted, like so many wishes that others wanted to wish for before your wish.
I wish for a good night's sleep.

Re: Corrupt-A-Wish
Wish granted. You'll receive electrical power from your local power plant to run all the appliances that you have in your house (which I'm guessing includes your computer), so long as you remember to pay the electrical bills. I wish that North Korea would stop destabilizing the Asia/Pacific region w...
