Ah. Now you're talking, boy ;) But a weapon of this function would probably be impossible to construct on a hand-held scale (or even tank mounted?) before portable fusion reactors are invented (a hooray to fallout 1 & 2!). I think 5 miles in the sky is too much, since VTOLs do rather low altitu...
