A muzzle flash in the form of a straight line (or two lines, in the case of Stormy) to whatever it's hitting could work.
You mean like this?

What kind of graphics specifically do you need? Just the texture(s)?

Re: Dragon / Wyvern bodies

This doesn't help the problem and doesn't really fit with the resistance balances of the other body types.

@ Deus Siddis: This is a pre-ownage warning. Prepare to be owned in 5. 4. 3. 2. 1. Mantis uses all six legs when walking/climbing, as can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbLvTdG-UnA&hl=de . Ownage complete, have a nice day. :cool: They do do that alot of the time, 6 is better than ...

Re: Plasma Cannon - Making it Useful

It's specialty as I suggested and already partially exists would be the token vehicle superweapon, the only thing on it's tech tree, and have the highest firepower. Just having the highest firepower doesn't mean anything. I'm just suggesting changing it's weakness from short ranged to long reload t...

Re: The 2.2 -> 2.3 Rebalance Thread

I think what is really needed is to get rid of the Cyborg Transport and intead have a transporation bay you can put on ordinary VTOLS in place of a weapon.

Re: Leg Propulsion - A new approach.

A bit of digging brought up the following: Arthropodes did not evolve less-than-six-legged designs because this would not be stable with their movement pattern. They need to stand on at least three feet at any given moment in order not to tumble over. Vertebrates can move on four (or even two) legs...

Re: Classes/factions in Multiplayer

Well, you could counterbalance their tech. Bolster T1 weapons and let NP use them, nerf T3 weapons and let Nexus use them, leave T2 weapons roughly the same and let Collective use them. It would have the added effect of flattening the tech tree by a lot, too. That still makes you wonder what the Pr...

Also Vertical Take Off and Landing could do exactly what its name implies quite effectively from the beginning, but needs a thrust vectoring upgrade to be able to move horizontally.

Re: Leg Propulsion - A new approach.

Be able to scale cliffs has been my suggestion for cyborgs, which makes more sense for them and helps give them an actually place in the game design, IMO.

For legs, I would just make their uneven terrain speed faster than tracks, but make tracks stonger and/or faster on even terrain.

Re: Plasma Cannon - Making it Useful

Plasmite is fictional, but it may be plasma related. Who knows? It's more perhaps plasma but unfocused and emitted like a flamethrower, as opposed to most fictional plasma weapons which would use a magnetic field to keep the plasma in line, which I'd think WZ2100's plasma cannon would use. You have...

Re: The 2.2 -> 2.3 Rebalance Thread

What advantage would articulated wheels have over regular wheels that could have a noticeable, useful effect on gameplay? They'd improve rough terrain performance. Erm, maglev tracks are for trains. You'd have to put magnets all over the battlefield for that to work...and I wouldn't consider that a...

Re: The 2.2 -> 2.3 Rebalance Thread

Well, when you compare hover and tracks, they should have strengths and weaknesses. I want Wheels to be effectively obsolete by T3, though. So wheels are the only propulsion system that becomes obsolete? Wouldn't that require that they have no advantage versus hover in going up hills? I think maybe...

If anything they're more similar to flamers than lasers as heat is their main way of dealing damage, just with plasma it's delivered in a different form. coughplasmiteflamercough Then again, the "lasers" in Warzone look more like hypothetical plasma weapons. A laser wouldn't be a bolt it ...

Re: Lasers

I don't think this is realistic, directed energy weapons are all pulsed for greater effectiveness, it is just a matter of whether there's a fraction of a second between pulses or longer or how long the pulse salvos are versus how long are the cool down times. Warzone is so old, that when it came out...
