Re: Is there a proper updater?
Plans are being made to use a consistent config directory for stable builds, which would mean saves and configuration would be carried forward automatically in the future. Any updates on this? I'm browsing the windows apps folder and am unable to locate my savegames and mp maps folder. Nothing on t...

Re: Release on Steam
Arrghh, After looking at the file structure, an looking for updated license/author information they did NOTHING! They literally compiled an exact clone (incorrectly as you put it) and uploaded it to steam. No changes what soever. I am seeing some of the reviews claiming saves and some missions aren'...

Re: Release on Steam
Ugh, that really sucks. After quick skim of the GNU public license, it doesn't seem like we have any official recourse but I wonder if valve were to receive enough complaints, they would pull it.

Release on Steam
Warzone 2100 just showed up in my feed on steam. Was very skeptical at first thinking someone else had compiled wz2100.net's build and released it but I was presently surprised to see you guys actually did the release! Congratulations! This is a huge deal for visibility! I'm very happy to see it on ...

Re: WASD?
Hey all, new here. Wondering if WASD is a thing to pan the camera. Searched some posts and basically found some that wanted it but it looks like the conclusion is that it is hard coded and it's not able to be changed, is that still the case? Thanks! Yes, currently this is hard-coded. However, I do ...

Re: Future of the WZ ?
...is it possible to send this game to steam ? It could be released as free title. ...We can't compile it with steam's API at this time, until it works with gcc & the cross-compiler. We don't do native windows builds built on windows based machines. Any possibility of taking another look into t...

Re: Website Slow
Thanks for the replies. After a few days it seemed like the issue cleared up on its own. It was definitely on my end... (mobile, desktop, & laptop all slow) but the page loaded fine from 4G or other ISPs fine. I ran ping and tracert commands and got pretty high pings and high packet loss. Looked...

Website Slow
Main page and forums seem to be operating o.k... However attachments on the forums and the wiki seem to be operating below 56k speeds. I can't even download the flame manual without getting network errors. Just me or has anyone else observed this? Also, anyone have the server rights/know-how to look...

Re: NEWS FOR THE WZ TEAM!!!! ONLINE CHEATING HAS BEEN FOUND!
Would it be possible to create a txt log(history) of each game you played? That logs the actions of all players from your end in the game? (including power levels, completed research items, times, units produced, total number of units ect) I know how easy it must be to cheat, and the really good che...

Re: Why do walls die needlessly?
Also, I believe that there was some discussion limiting line of sight (literally) and only being able to "see" certain tanks structures ect depending on height, elevation, ect. behind walls. I am against this, keep it simple and true to the roots of the game. Its a game, not a sim... Gener...

Re: Why do walls die needlessly?
Sry to necro yet another thread, but this is still very much a current issue. Any chance in seeing the rules reverted back the way they were before? Ofc, I enjoyed hollowing out bases just like everyone else, but the issue is much more gameplay related than that. My defensive structures now targets ...

Re: Increase draw distance
Sounds good to me, thx. (btw, on my machine i've noticed that when I do zoom out, all of the units, no matter what color, receive hue's of blue on various parts of the turrets typically but sometimes bodies and props. It doesn't bother me but just wondering if anyone else noticed that? Perhaps if we...

Re: Increase draw distance
Sorry to necro, and please disregard a lot of the discussion above as it seems to be borderline off topic, but with the start of the new year, would it be possible to add another request to increase the zoom distance? It's quite possible that over the last years worth of builds that this has already...
