Re: Aspect ratio

According to W3Schools, the most common screen resolution since a bit before 2012 is 1366x768, which is (not quite exactly, but for practical sake) 16:9. Analyzing their statistics, we can get a clear picture at the trend: including 1366x768 and 1360x768 resolutions within the 16:9 category, it amou...

Re: SharpFlame Warzone Map Editor

Did I read C#? Oh wait, what forum is this? :hmm: Ok, jokes aside, I've learned C# as part of my programming knowledge over the course of the last 4 months or something like that. Maybe I can help with this in my spare time since it looks like it'll further the purpose of improving my development sk...

Hey, Olrox, are you still alive? :) Sure thing :D I've been here . However if you mean to inquiry about this project, I've searched my files and was unfortunately unable to locate it, BUT ... There are some old HDs of mine hidden somewhere. I will get around to search them for the map files shortly...

Re: Elgaria

Okay, got a playable version. It currently offers no support for bases let alone advanced bases, but it's dotted with a few features and already has implemented gateways. I was thinking about making some "nun-rushable" resources (besides the VTOL access ones) by placing trees or other dest...

Oh, it's not a silly question - I'm not finished with the map yet :P

I'm gonna see if I can give its development a boost today.

Re: Elgaria

Thanks for the input, guys - it is much appreciated :D @Rman : Hey man, good to see you around. You got me right at exploring outside the box a good deal, I keep resisting the temptation of following restricted patterns because they tend to turn something we love into something ultimately boring. Th...

I've been working on this at a reduced pace for some time now, but I'd appreciate some thoughts of you regular players out there. I know that most of the hardcore players don't like organic, asymmetrical maps, but this is rather intended for enjoyment instead of bloody, surgical and precise dispute....

Re: 4c-Garond Valley

HUGE Update! Reviewed the whole map not only fixing object overlap errors but also balancing as a whole. Balance changes: Reviewed relations between bases 1 and 3: Player 3 was too vulnerable in relation to others due to the previous northeastern entrance. It was closed to better protect it from pl...

Re: Double, Triple, Quadruple research, Oh my!

If someone has a module and your partner does not, perhaps if the research is early enough, it could switch to the person with the module for little cost. Better yet, the research is transferred at current progress stage to the priority player (whoever has a module the other one has not)! How about...

Re: Double, Triple, Quadruple research, Oh my!

Would be just a mode which can be switched on and off as far as I can imagine. Then it'd change the game as drastically as setting the power levels from low to high, or having alliances enabled :) Or having to pay for Derricks... from my experience the devs are very reluctant to add new settings so...

Re: Double, Triple, Quadruple research, Oh my!

We really need to have a "no shared research at all" mode (: I agree with that completely. Sometimes you want a game to progress with regular research speed, but want allies when you're fighting. Disabling shared research would encourage the players to use combined forces since each one c...

Re: Re-Uploaded Maps!

(the addon was rejected as is due to it). I'm currently fixing that. My mistake, that's Arena #14, I'm fixing it. Overlapping trees only gives warnings but oil drums overlapping structures gives errors, it seems. I've hid oil drums inside some buildings for fun, but that doesn't work anymore :hmm: ...

Re: Re-Uploaded Maps!

Ugh, the legendary Garond Valley seems to throw minor warnings (overlapping features, probably accidentally copy-pasted twice). We're a bit paranoid about this stuff recently, so asking to do something about it (: Yeah, nice to see those back too! Yeah, I've noticed those errors (the addon was reje...
