Re: Models by macuser

If you want to make concept sketches with details, they're really helpful.
Half of the modeling work is figuring out what details to put where.
Of course the sketches would have to follow the original design, although they can be interpreted quite freely.

Re: Models by Jorzi (AR)

Ah yes at least the mg3 has a muzzle booster since it's recoil operated

Re: Leg Propulsion - A new approach.

This sounds like a cool tactical element, you cold, for example, use them as hit-and-run lancers that take cover behind cliffs, which means no units would be able to follow them. Also, they would be good as sensor vehicles able to get to a high-ground position easily

Re: Gameplay complexity

Flamers, machineguns and artillery are all very effective against any heap of cyborgs...
Mortars take them out while flamer and mg bunkers prevent them from coming close.

If it isn't a poll, then what is it? :hmm: The previous thread had a much more descriptive name.

Re: Models by Jorzi (AR)

Well I added it since it was in the original design which is essentially the goal here. @ corporal punishment you may be confusing it with a muzzle booster. Muzzle brakes (brake not break :P) reduce recoil by diverting the jet of hot powder gas to the side and are especially used on cannons and howi...

Ah tiberian sun :) One of my favourite games, it certainly has that convincing apocalyptic sci-fi feel to it.

Re: Models by Jorzi (AR)

I think muzzle brake is not the correct word this time, it looks a bit like a muzzle break, but it's really only there to protect the flame so it doesn't get blown out and it also mixes air into the fuel before igniting :lecture:

Oh and I changed the name of the topic ;)
