Andrie, no scripts written for Blender 2.49 will work in 2.5+ because of the major API changes and recently Blender 2.63 integrates BMesh which changes mesh API structure further. The script needs re-writing from scratch really, something I am keen to do and have started work on, but it's a long way...

Sloping could potentially help with deflection and also increases the relative thickness of a straight shot fairly significantly without adding the equivalent additional weight.

my approach would be the burn time of the well is proportional to how built the derrick was. Example a fully built and operational derrick gets destroyed the well burns for the full amount of time, whereas a half built derrick gets destroyed the well just burns for half as long.

You can already see whether or not your ally is researching something and there is a timer to tell you how low it will be until the research is finished. (beta 2)

What if you're trying to outfox the enemy, by maybe building a few flamers and scouting with them, meanwhile you're seriously teching up your rockets or cannons instead? With unit preview the element of surprise is lost, it's not "realistic" (without scouts) and shouldn't be back, no matte...

I believe you can drop a beacon with alt + H and then type to AI "help me".
Whether any further commands have been added i'm not sure.. there was a thread about this a while back.. can't find it right now though
