Re: Vote on the new textures!
Is it possible to use Gerrard set as an additional areas? Or would Mangust like to create more textures for completely new areas? Warzone is having just 3 sets of textures and while they are very nice , it would benefit from more diversity. Just an example is this: all Alpha campaign is using Mangus...

Re: 2.3.4 has been released!
I guess had you already discussed creating exe files which once run they replace the number of files. Ufo Extraterrerstrials has or rather "had" quite a big modding community and the new mod versions were being added on a daily basis. You just had to download the big release (like 2.3) and...

Re: DyDo 2.2.2, AI for skirmish games and challenges
AI is using both types of bodies at the same time and NP speed is nullified. If AI was building only 1 type of bodies (for example only Project or only New Paradigm) than the speed would be a factor here. But the force is mixed and given the fact that AI is grouping forces together in a numerous pla...

Re: DyDo 2.2.2, AI for skirmish games and challenges
The differences are not very big and AI is not able to use them to the fullest. Skipping new paradigm bodies will make other researches come faster and I think Dydo will benefit more from it. Of course this is debatable, but it would be nice if you write something more than "rly?"

Re: DyDo 2.2.2, AI for skirmish games and challenges
Wow this AI is great! 2 research paths are great! I have a few suggestions based just on 1 game (it is best for me to test 2p maps because it gives me a lot of info how AI is working). Advanced bases on. AI flamers rockets. 1. Dydo is using new paradigm bodies. I think it is not necessary because th...

Re: Vote on the new textures!
just wanted to ask Devs what do they think about the following: Would it be possible to have more than 3 areas? Imagine for example that some Arizona maps are using Gerrard and some are using Mangusts textures. It would add a lot of variety to the game which i think would be perfect. Having only 3 a...

Re: Vote on the new textures!
Don't you think that Arizona, Mountains and Urban textures from Mangusts set are quite similar to each other? When you look at Gerrard textures you can feel better that you are playing in the different areas. Zarel pointed out that some areas should be more corolful, i agree with him. Arizona - I li...

I can not find on your website the technology paths that both versions of AI are using. Could you please tell where it is?

Re: DyDo 2.2.1, AI for skirmish games and challenges
This is a great step forward! Right now you have opened path which will make Dydo almost as strong as human player (obviously more work is required, but I feel Dydo is already much stronger than previous Dydo). I used WZ 2.3 RC1 (i know i have to upgrade) I played against 1 Dydo (gunners) to see how...

Re: DyDo, AI for skirmish games and challenges
Hello,
What is the progress on Dydo? I haven't played the game for quite a while and i can see brilliant plans in your latest posts. I think a lot of players would love to play new version.

Re: Retaining experience upon death
Nope, I understood it correctly. Maybe my metaphore was a bit misleading, so I'll put it into other words. Players will get confused why their units are getting resurrected constantly.

Re: Retaining experience upon death
I do not like the idea for the following reasons: - players will not care about their units. Right now we set them "retreat at medium/heavy" damage, after the idea is applied there would be no reason for this. - this is a war and units die - this is normal and intuitive. Players will get c...

Re: DyDo skirmish AI: ver 2.1.1 (21 Apr 2010)
I played the challenge and liked it (1v1v2). I lost my first game because Dydo launched nice attack in the early game. In the second I was prepared better and killed Dydo thanks to artillery and thanks to researching faster. (1v3 would be much harder I guess). One question: when 2 Dydo's are allied,...
