But wasn't 3.0 planned as the "big new graphics release" featuring complete new and better graphics?
So, how is the roadmap then for the new graphics and the netcode? Will there soon after be a stable 3.1 release with new netcode and new models and new textures?

Question about versions
Hi, I'm a little confused about the versions and where they will lead. Currently we have the stable 2.3.x, it's all clear about that. But then the confusion starts with 3.0BetaX and this "master" branch. The next major stable release will be 3.0, right? And it will have ALL the new graphic...

Re: Question about OpenGL / the 3.0 GFX release
But independently from that, if I recall correctly there was a discussion whether OpenGL 2.0 or 2.1 should be used at all. I think yes, it should: One major problem with OpenSource games is the often very outdated graphics sector (what stops lot of the average players from even testing the games). W...

Re: Question about OpenGL / the 3.0 GFX release
Yeah, but let's take the example WZ requires OpenGL 2.1, but you hardware only can 2.0.
Would this still be a huge difference if only some smaller functions had to be emulated by the CPU?

Question about OpenGL / the 3.0 GFX release
The roadmap says that 3.0 requires "Hardware-accelerated OpenGL 2.1 or higher". I thought OpenGL can run on any system that has an up-to-date OpenGL driver? By the graphics card not directly supported features are emulated by the CPU. Did I miss-understood something, or why is Hardware -ac...

Re: Trunk builds (nightly-like) are back!
Are there problems again with compiling? Last full trunk build is over a month old, and exe-only build is almost a month old.

Re: *Real* nightly builds! [NO LONGER AVAILABLE]
They say it can't be build under Windows anymore. But I can't believe that. I mean, the 2.2 Betas can be build to, and they are based on trunk. So trunk should be able to be build on Windows, too. And I never heard that you can build Windows binaries only on Linux. That'd be the most senseless thing...

Re: *Real* nightly builds!
But I'd like to play with the latst features AND new_terrain. That's why I asked if there'll be new nightly builds.
By the way, aren't the Betas build from the latest trunk? If I recall corectly, the trunk already has new_terrain, doesn't it? Why is it missing in the beta?

Re: *Real* nightly builds!
Is 2.2-beta1 the same as the (almost) latest nightly?
Because the nightlies have new_terrain in it, but I don't see this in the changelog for 2.2 Beta.

Re: *Real* nightly builds!
Any news on the nightly builds? I'd really like to test the latest SVN versions, but I'm an absolute beginner in all this development/svn/compiling stuff..

Re: *Real* nightly builds!
Is there a new svn builds server? Because the one posted in the first post is outdated.
