Well, I'm glad I'm not the only this happens for.

I was disappointed to find this out when the AI started sending hoards of VTOL's, and I couldn't make dedicated anti-air commander groups.

BZflag has a very interesting system which you might take inspiration from. There is an official registration list (the forum name and password), and bzflag servers can choose to accept only people on the list. Commander unit and Anti-air units

Whenever I attach any anti-air units to a commander, they do not engage vtols, even with a sensor (counter-vtol or wide spectrum) unit attached.

Is this how it should be, a bug, or something to be worked on for the future?

Just downloaded it. Is pathfinding not working for anyone else? Units won't move unless there is a clear path in a straight line, and they don't like getting close to buildings at all (like when you want to repair them). Quite unplayable. I wonder if it is just borked for me, as I'm not sure how suc...
