Re: Artillery Trajectory
As you (don't) know, the type of mortar used in Warzone 2100 is automatically loaded, with automatically adjusted 0-90 degree elevation, and automatic fire control, similar to, but not quite as advanced as the twin-barrelled, MRSI-capable AMOS turret, both which are incomparable to crew-served artil...

Re: Artillery Trajectory
As you know, propellant for artillery cannons are always supplied in the form of standardized, pre-measured bags, for the purposes of logistics and consistent internal ballistics. There are only a finite number of packaged propellant variations, which is proven by maximum MRSI capability, therefore ...

Re: Fixing the Power Problem
To be honest, the original StarCraft is a technical disaster, yet it appeals to certain types of gamers, who are the majority, for that very reason. Just like those who think BXR in Halo 2 is a quality feature, and not a horrendous, production-halting glitch that it really is, there are players who ...

Re: Artillery Trajectory
If I recall correctly from the last time I checked the source, I found that the ballistic simulation system is extremely arbitrary: 1) Indirect units always try to fire at a ~30 degree elevation. 2) The elevation will not be adjusted for increased range, instead, the launch velocity of the projectil...

Re: Future Weapons
This planet (Earth) will be too polluted to fire any sort of laser or particle beam through the atmosphere by 2050, let alone 2100.

If not, do you have the ethernet crossover cable? Or only regular ethernet cable?

Re: Artillery-Spotting UAVs
Eventually, I will remove the requirement for dedicated spotters in my mod for wz2100.
If you detect the target on the map, you'll be able to directly order your artillery to bombard the area, or any other arbitary location in the fog-of-war.

Re: CB against mobile units...
This cb-tracking-mobile-units bug has already been marked for fix in a later version.
Should you want to see the reasons (which are very reasonable), use the search function to find the previous topic on CB radar.

Re: v 2.3.6 .. this is super armor!!!
There has been sufficient conspiracy on the forums as of late, for my claim that Zarel was dealt with in the same manner as Mr. JFK to be plausible.... ... Some people obviously do .. what .. you've been in exile since 2.3.2 or what?!! lol ... I have been working on some source-code modifications to...

Do you guys actually think that playing with no armour mechanic is fun?
By any chance, are you the same ones that posted 'MG is overpowered', 'Remove the Twin Assault Gun@!' or 'i hate ripple rockets !!'?
I miss Zarel....

Re: Firing through things
Firing through solid objects without damaging them is out of place in Warzone 2100.
However, as towers are designed to be able to fire over other structures, I suggest actually scaling their model heights by 1.5x to 2.0x times.

Re: Weapon balance favors machineguns (AP type)
Technically, the 10000 kg Whirlwind turret is composed of dual 30mm Gatling autocannons, but as of now, it is arbitrarily restricted to firing at airborne VTOLs only.
