I have been playing skirmish for hours, researched everything built factories and even planes! But for some design oversight I cannot built tanks, at all. Regardless of what I research or build, tanks are not available. Why is this so hard?

I have spent several hours trying to play this game and the AI always has a armada of tanks in 10 min of game play and I have barely started to make buildings. I am doing research on vehicles, but I never get an opportunity to build a tank! How do you play this "game?" What steps are *exac...
