Re: MAC users, where are you guys?

Wookie, You got 2.1 beta 5 to run on your mac? What Mac and OSX are you using? Mine just sits on the dock and bounces once and will not open. You may need to wait a few minutes the first time you run Warzone but it should start up eventually. After the first time, though, the loading should speed u...

Re: MAC users, where are you guys?

As mentioned in the ML, I'm going to post a patch in the next few days (assuming there aren't too many complications) for the Xcode project file that will download libtheora and build it automatically so people can test the FMV patch. Sorry for the lack of activity on my end, I've been pretty busy l...

If on Leopard, are you using Xcode 3.1?

Re: MAC users, where are you guys?

I'm assuming you both have this problem on Leopard. It sounds like once you move your cursor over the non-existent buttons, the button text appears. Is this right?

Re: MAC users, where are you guys?

You need to delete the directory 'macosx/external/quesoglc' so that the build process will download the correct version of QuesoGLC (sorry about that).

Re: MAC users, where are you guys?

The 2.1 branch Xcode project file has been updated so the build errors should be gone.

Re: MAC users, where are you guys?

The 2.1 branch build system hasn't been updated yet (I'm going to try to do it tonight). If you want code that should compile without any errors at the moment, try trunk.

Re: MAC users, where are you guys?

No problem, glad I could help. Thanks for the OS X binary offer but I'm going to try to get at least a weekly build of 2.1 branch up somewhere. I need to port the build fixes from trunk to 2.1 branch and ask around for permission to post the binaries before they can actually be up but these things a...

Re: MAC users, where are you guys?

I don't know...I've never had a problem with that. I checked out a fresh copy of trunk a moment ago and bison.sh was downloaded.

Try checking it out again:

Code: Select all

svn co http://svn.gna.org/svn/warzone/trunk

Re: MAC users, where are you guys?

According to the errors, "external/bison.sh" doesn't exist ("/bin/sh: external/bison.sh: No such file or directory"). This file is in the repository and should exist at "macosx/external/bison.sh". It looks like you're running 'xcodebuild' from from the macosx/ directory...

Re: MAC users, where are you guys?

The build process shouldn't have the same errors as before if you try to build the updated trunk (the last errors were due to an improperly built and installed Bison binary which has been fixed but, for Leopard, the system version of Bison is now used). If there are any errors, can you post your out...

Re: MAC users, where are you guys?

Are you using the latest version of trunk? From what I've heard, Leopard has a Warzone-compatible version of Bison (specifically 2.3). The build process should see this and use that version of Bison on your system instead of downloading another compatible one. What version of Bison do you have (open...

Re: MAC users, where are you guys?

Try removing 'macosx/external/bison' and 'macosx/external/bison-2.3.tar.bz2' and rebuilding the project. The build process should now use the system version of Bison.

Re: MAC users, where are you guys?

Try compiling it again to see if the problem will go away. There is a problem with Bison files not being compiled (or whatever happens to them, I have no experience with Bison) in the correct order (I think) that produces an error on the first go around but running the build process again has always...

Re: MAC users, where are you guys?

tom555, what version of OS X and Xcode are you using? If you're using Leopard, you'll need to use Xcode 3.1 due to this bug in Xcode 3.1: http://developer.apple.com/qa/qa2007/qa1567.html . The workaround Apple listed didn't work (see a small part of this enormous bug report: https://gna.org/bugs/ind...
