What, exactly, is a "nightly build"? ???

Re: What do you find annoying about the BETA ?

Hmm... so I see. Very well, there will be no force fire available. But there are still other, albeit much more important issues to deal with here. I think, the two biggest concerns should be changing defensive structures so that instead of researching them, you can design them. I thought that by now...

Re: VTOL Factory/Rearming Pad Intel Screen Error!

Yeah I've noticed that too.
BTW, do your units ever randomly get set to "hold ground" and then not even fire while in "hold ground"? I'm not sure if I'm the only person with that problem.

Re: What do you find annoying about the BETA ?

3) The thing about the CB battery is, and correct me if I'm wrong, but it only counters artillery that fires at an ---ALLIED TARGET--- within it's range.  So if you are firing at the ground, even IF an enemy unit ends up getting hit, since it wasn't the target in the first place, it won't trigger t...

Re: VTOLS, away missions, and "---BETA: EVACUATE!---"

I'm not for fuel ammo micromanagement. Instead, I believe a vehicle with a commander/sensor turret should be able to call in airstrikes on targets it designates. Maybe have it so that VTOL arrives from same point that the transport first appears on the map from. That way, if there is enemy AA in the...

Re: Warzone 2100 wish list - all can contribute_part 2

- an AI that doesn't cheat and is smart would be nice, since skirmish is the main thing i play this game for. - i dislike the idea of units that have their propulsion completely destroyed. the normal speed reduction is good enough IMO and pathfinding is already bad enough without immobile units clo...

Re: What do you find annoying about the BETA ?

1)  Flamethrowers should fire continuously... --- While that might be a nice aesthetic change, I don't think it's a good use of resources in the current code.  To my knowledge, the fire rate (and animation) of each weapon are tied to each other, so to make a "continuous fire" weapon would mean to g...

Re: Warzone 2100 wish list - all can contribute_part 2

traditionally, any kind of artillery shell hitting the top of a tank was considered catastrophic. i don't know if that's still the case though.  one of the main threats of artillery to tanks was that a nearby shell would hit ground under the tank, and the kinetic energy would flip it over, or take ...

Re: Warzone 2100 wish list - all can contribute_part 2

1: Design your own defenses. Example: Start with basic bunker, then add whichever weapon you want to it. Basically, like designing a vehicle, but with defensive structures. It would be cool to have a repair tower with an extended range repair turret that could tend to you defenses and other base str...

Re: What do you find annoying about the BETA ?

The fuel usage for flamers would make them pretty useless I would think, since they must always be running back to the refuel station. Mines were in some patch, I think it was 1.11 (or was it 1.12?), but I haven't tested how it did it.  I'll leave the comments to someone who knows more about this. ...

Re: What do you find annoying about the BETA ?

By the way, I wish to express some concern about the weapons. First of all, I don't particularly like how flamers work. Imo, they shouldn't have a reload time, and work like real flame throwers, which can continuosly fire until out of fuel. Naturally, their damage must be dummed down, because rof is...

Re: What do you find annoying about the BETA ?

Is it just me, or are your units supposed to revert to hold ground after being repaired by repair vehicle? I've noticed on the second campaign1 mission, after my MG guys get repaired by my repair guys, they go into hold ground stance, even after setting them to gaurd mode. they won't even defend the...

Mission bug?

I believe there is a bug in the second alpha base away mission. First I saved my game after completing the previous away mission(the one where you aquire the heavy mg technology), but instead of hitting continue i hit the quit to main. from there i loaded the save. it took me straight to my base wit...
