Re: Multi-Hardpoint Thoughts
I did not know about the weapon class plan, but in the code, there is an unused 'system points' parameter that is stored in the stats files, and which presumably was meant to indicate how much "add-ons", like weapons, the body could have. I never tried to reverse calculate how it could wo...
Re: New mode?
Co-operative construction/structure repair, in that your trucks can help finish/repair someone else's construction project/buildings...? Looks nice to me. :) Can't see why anything would be bad with that, myself. Unless I'm missing some specific of the map itself rather than what I'm looking at, whi...

Re: What your favorite weapon in the multiplayer of the 2.1 BETA
Like I said in the screenshot thread, I love the way the flamers work now (being stream-fire rather than one pathetic shot from time to time) but in terms of practicality I prefer Railguns (Gauss/Rail, Needler is almost useless), Lasers (Pulse Laz/H. Laz - Plasma fires too slow and is way too inaccu...

Multi-Hardpoint Thoughts
I was flicking through my old Warzone 2100 manual earlier and noticed - right towards the end, just before the credits, there's a section that gives hints about weaponry. It mentions that there are 'classes' of weapons that are restricted on a per chassis basis. Presumably these got scrapped in the ...

Re: WZ Screenshoots!
I love the new flamethrowers, especially combined with the second hardpoint on the Mantis tank chassis. ;D
Works best with the standard Flamer or the Plasmite Flamer. The Inferno Flamer just looks really freaky.

Beta 2 Campaign Colour Oddity
I noticed this earlier when I was testing the campaign mode unit HP/cost behaviour as mentioned in another thread. I'd most recently used black as my colour scheme in a skirmish, and when I started the campaign mode (without changing my colour back on the Game Options submenu) my units and structure...

Re: One player skirmish Avilution
You say they dont use cyborgs? They build them in my game all the time. Only repair and constructor cyborgs though, right? Also I've noticed Aivolution uses Commanders a lot. Is it wise to take out their Commanders first? I've been using VTOL strikes to take out the commanders of incoming attacks a...

Re: One player skirmish Avilution
Yes, this is true, we are on it already and planning to fix this for the next release. ;) Excellent. It's something that's really bugged me since the release of WZ2100. I actually have an ancient double jewel-case that has both CDs and the old-style manual. IMO, a nerf of VTOL Scourge Missiles migh...

Re: One player skirmish Avilution
Not as frequently as normal (if at all), I notice, although they'll still build anti-air defenses if attacked with VTOLs. A nice change from the stock AI, though, which loves to spam them at you. Unfortunately most of the early anti-aircraft weaponry (flak weapons specifically) seem mostly useless. ...

Re: One player skirmish Avilution
AFAIK, it is only AI changes. For the 2 hardpoints, don't get use to them, many issues with that, and it just isn't ready enough. It will be disabled on the next beta, or maybe the next release, I forgot what they said. Hm. I noticed larger VTOLs were going faster too, though that may just have bee...

Re: New units in the campaign are extremely expensive.
I guess the game thinks once a cheater, always a cheater. :P ;) I am guessing some stuff isn't cleared out. Why would it increase the cost, though? I can understand the health bugging out. Very odd. I'm not seeing any related issues, just started a campaign and designed a viper-flamer-wheels. I ha...

Re: One player skirmish Avilution
Does Aivolution.wz make any other gameplay changes? I noticed that a lot of the larger chassis have 2 hardpoints now which is quite nice.
Also, it has this endearing habit of asking what my status is. I think I like it already. ;D

Re: Any way\ini line\option to disable mission timers?
You may need to tack the "--cheat" tag onto the end of the command line of the shortcut you're using even if you are still running debug.

Re: Warzone 2100 wish list - all can contribute_part 2
I like being able to see the exact HP of enemy buildings/units, and I do not mind them seeing mine. How about instead of showing the exact HP or relying on smoke puffs of all things (why smoke puffs? I mean come on), doing the right click on an enemy unit will show a ROUGH estimate of that unit's c...
