I'd love to try out and play with stats, even the way it is now.

i will be offline (in vacation) ten days
plus i need week to put all data from diagram to research.ini
but there is problem also - diagram is not finished.
i've planned make research tree for my mod, so i left the space in diagramm for some additional weapons.

you do it in image editor? If it is done with some special tools (or using layers in image editor), it can be parsed.

PS. I can make some test script that will check you text for some correctness.

I've made it in MS Visio.
I think easier to export my data by hands into research.ini

Yep, wouldn't me that much of a problem. However, the result wouldn't be as great as it look on paper. We have no idea how long each of those research should be to make the game somewhat balanced.

It's obvious that for some time, that techtree would contain incredibly OP things and useless things. The first draft look good, but I think it need more toughts before it become a mod. Investing now in that prototype would be a waste of time for crab_.
