Report to moderator feature

Why does the report to moderator button appear on your own posts when you can't use it to report your own posts anyway (which is logic).
It doesn't make sense to me.

May I know what "SMF" stands for ?

Also, isn't it possible to modify the existing layout of the forums to get rid of it ?
It is minor although but doesn't have it place as well.

and no you dont get rid of it.  it is there for a reason.  and it states that reason quite well.  ok?

Coyote, I was only asking if it's possible to get rid of only for your own posts, but not for reporting other ones (since it doesn't make sense for your own posts, try using the button on your own posts and see what it says).

However since it doesn't seem possible to do it will probably stay like that.
I was just pointing out a minor thing I noticed, that's all.
