I no longer have blackouts in multiplayer games when there are lags/synch errors. Instead, now whenever it freezes, I can still see what's going on. I can zoom in/out, pan around the map, and I can still continue chatting in-game in the middle of a freeze. IMHO, this single fix in 3.0 series master-20101030 is what stands out as one of the best improvements over the 2.3.5 release.

EDIT: Unfortunately , this problem still exists in 3.0

Is the collision bug still in beta2? It's this bug in beta1 viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6866#p72577

Rejoice! Changelogs! For the last three releases! It takes quite a while to write them (especially if you don't just want c&ped commit messages); I'll happily leave that job to someone else who wants to spend time on it.

I do not see a source for that information in that article.

Some time later...

*crawl*

Wikipedia sources: So they are citing "Amazon.com" and "GameFaqs". Amazon.com says: 30 September, 1999 and GameFaqs says: 10 April, 1999 and the only sources for this information are "Information and/or credits for this game contributed by Dragon Drake, Ubersuntzu, and odino.", which means: no reliable source, as always. :(

.

April 10, 1999 sounds about right for when the game was first put on the store shelves for sale in San Fran, USA and I was johnny-on-the-spot to buy it at Electronic Boutique that day (Sept. 1999 is only right for the release of Patch v.1.08). While I still have those original disks and all the files Pumpkin sent me with electronic dates, I do not have my store receipt... but of course my saying all of that could not be expected to qualify as an independently verifiable, & primary, "reliable source".

However, the Internet Archive called Wayback Machine has some of the web pages from Pumpkin Studios' Official Warzone 2100 Retail Release Game Web site hosted by MPlayer (& moderated by them & Pumpkin Developers) from April 1999 and one of the pages archived is a duplication of the Retail Release README file with the following:
Warzone 2100
README file
March 9, 1999
Version 1.0
You can see those archived pages from April 1999 here:

http://web.archive.org/web/199904230257 ... e2100.com/

You can also always email http://www.eidosinteractive.co.uk and request the company's exact release date in April 1999. Also - there are still available on-line Eidos financial statements from Q1 1999 that mention WZ 2100's release in Q2 1999 - publically traded companies have to publish those earning statements.

BTW - I don't really understand how or why this subject came up here. O_o

For years I am looking for the correct release date(s), because I have a page (in German) dealing with the history of WZ itself and the release date I give there is 1999-03-23 and I have _no_ idea where I got this from (probably carried over from the old site~, so not verifiable). German Wikipedia gives 1999-05-03 and I am quite confident that it was released somewhere between March 1999 and June 1999.

Indeed. :/

Nice, I did not think of that. ^_^

Yesterday I looked on their site(s) and ... they do not even list Warzone 2100 anymore, but probably I will give it a try. Will search for and look at the financial statements later on xD

Thanks so far to you all ^_^ And I am sorry for this off-topic stuff xD
