Yup. I like most of 'em. I never cared for the original but, surprisingly, I also like Mysteryem's revisioning.

@ Berg: I would only make one suggestion - making the "Nose-Cockpit" more aerodynamic- conic.

Glad it's Buggy making the decision 'cause I'd have a hard time choosing. :P

@ Remotehorst: Like what you have done so far. In saying that you are not yet finished I'm assuming that you will be dealing with the propulsion elements ?

Basically i mean the texture and TC Mask. This texture is only the base-texture.
There will be added some other texture elements like cockpit and cooling fins.

But there is also a plan to enhance the model with a kind of hover suspension for vertical flying.
Im not quite sure if i make it per texture in the wing-area or if i add some meshdetails.

As some said they liked it I have added team colour and streamline the cockpit a bit.

This is really interesting. It brings to mind what WW II fighter pilots and bomber crews would do to their air craft - they would paint animal talismans on the fuselage... ie. like the famous Flying Tigers. Something along these could evoke the sensibility of factions.

I also like the engineering choice of externalizing the propulsion elements - to my eye it looks cooler than housing them in the fuselage and I imagine in RL maneuverer capability would be enhanced with their rotation. (Might wanna beef-up the shaft and gimbal housing into the fuselage from the props.)

While I'm sure piloting would be highly dependent on comp instrumentation, I still think the cockpit window should be a full half-bubble - in other words, I don't think 12 o'clock eyeball vision should be obstructed with a fuselage plate.

Also - perhaps consider beveling your fuselage edges, especially in the front. The following image demonstrates what I mean by beveling:

(Minor comment: I have always thought pink as a team color for a post-apocalyptic war-fighting game too reminiscent of Pokeman or stuffed kittys.)

--------------------

Side Bar: Being an avid film buff since I was knee-high to a grizzly I'm more than familiar with the Academy Awards quite spotty Oscar history. Which is to say there have been many a year were in the Oscar winners have subsequently been long forgotten and in that same year works that did not even get nominated have gone on to achieve immortal status. For me this is an example of fine art sensibilities being more powerful than the usual commercial art metrics.

Mind you, I say this NOT to take anything away from Mysteryem's re-visioning of the Super Transport which I do like (& I never liked the original), but rather to point out that there is not just one way to view the value of artful creations that is impeccable over all.

- Regard's, Rman :hmm:

Actually, it will be a team decision, I only started the thread.

Keep up the good work guys, I see some very promising stuff going on! :3

You know, nobody said we can't have more than one Super Transport... some might carry more stuff, but no weapons, or more weapons, less stuff to carry... or have a radar jammer or ... ... Heck, might even have different tech paths for this stuff. I don't object to thinking out of the box. :ninja:
and it ends here.

Ah. My bad. Still, I imagine it won't be easy. However, the following puts a whole new slant on this.

Getting lots of Suggestion here and IRC so I did a few changes.

I made the cockpit 360 view and also added alpha to the outer windscreens to see an interior.

Still Goofing about is fun

That's a really neat touch. :) But now you might need to put a little Borg in there. :geek:

Even better ! Like an artist signature a la the great Alfred Hitchcock in most all his 50 plus movies. :) (Who never won an Oscar for Best Director for all his extraordinary accomplishments and classic works, btw.)

@Berg I like the design, but the paintjob looks very civilian-like to me. I think a darker more metallic look would fit warzone better.
Something like this for inspiration:
