While xfire doesn't support Warzone 2100, I think you can add a game yourself - I'll try it tonight and see if it works. If it does, xfire might be a good program to use to organise matches and such.

My handle on xfire is 'jestersghost' if anyone wants to add me, btw.

Hi!!!!! I am a warzone fan and i 'd like to play against other gamers, being bored to always beat up the cpu player. I believe the best way to play online is simply to post our email addresses and if possible use messenger software like yahoo messenger or MSN to talk and when you're in the mood for a game just see  who is online and start the fun......my adress is THECROSSBAR99 -=(at)=- YAHOO.COM

// Edit (Giel): changed mail address to something less useable for spambots

Do that if you want every webcrawling spambot to find your email address.

Anyway, I changed yours to be human readable only.

heh... any textual content that's human readable is machine readable as well... all it takes is a bot that searches for hexcodes in addition to unenconded chars, or has some nice regex search capabilities.

Ok, make that more human readable than machine readable.

xfire isn't FOSS nor does it run on GNU/Linux. So that basically puts me off.

There is that.

The only windows machine in my house is my gaming machine, however, since I've never really got Wine working well enough to run games, and I don't have the time to mess around with it at a LAN match...

One way to get everyone connected is by going to the irc and request for a game. preferably in a new irc room for multiplayer. :) if anyone is looking for a game, at anytime, join    Dizzi Town    Password = enter    on hamachi. :)

Why don't you just join the IRC?

there is the official channel #warzone on freenode

i also got my own psyced server running, you can connect to this server psyc.timeoutd.org  over telnet(port 2323) irc (6667/6601 ssl) jabber(5222/5223 ssl) or over our CGI:IRC at https://timeoutd.org/cgi-bin/cgiirc/irc.cgi or over a java-applet on https://timeoutd.org:4433/ or non https on http://timeoutd.org:44444/
many ways in ;)
you'll auto joint the channel #supra EX_T and me (Marenz in irc) are mostly open for a match, we may could create an own channel for matches if enough ppl show up

First off, the topic link is dead.
Second, there has been discussion about xFire here and there is already a big topic on the forums where a lot of xFire users posted their nick.
