Desync issues over LAN

Me and my brother had some desync issues yesterday. We first thought it was because of this 'different version' message,  but after both having reinstalled Warzone 2100, we still had some desync issues. The most notable was that I had send a command vehicle, but kept it at maximum range (spotter for VTOL/artillery). On my brother's computer the command vehicle however had gone all the way to the defences I told it to attack (seems it didn't receive the move order)and was slaughtered by the defences. On my computer, the command vehicle 'magically' exploded. Is there any way to avoid this problem, or is this just faulty network code?

Faulty netcode.
Problem is known exists at least since this code became free.
We intend to solve it for 2.1.

i'm pretty sure this problem was known for a few years before it became free, so i don't think it's anything we did.
