Please test the 2.3 beta releases!
Re: Please test the 2.3 beta releases!
Demo mode is not meant for observing AIs. Look instead at how 'autogame' is implemented in the default AI.
Re: Please test the 2.3 beta releases!
Autogame also has problems though, the player that get's turned into an AI seems to get a different 'cheat' slider setting than the rest of the AIs, I don't know what setting this is, however, demo mode seems to give them all the same, but that includes scavengers, they go on a killing spree if it's at the beginning of a game, especially with no bases.

Re: Please test the 2.3 beta releases!
I just came out of a Beta-4 game... and found:
-The omni-present Sensor is back
...A.K.A. being able to make a tank with sensor, wich has unlimited range.

Please be more specific. How do you do that?javierkaiser wrote:I just came out of a Beta-4 game... and found:

the new ready box is good, the blue spots on the resources are good too.
Will let you know when I do more tests.

Zarel:
It's the same "bug" that was fixed in 2.2.3 or 2.2.4, don't remember well.
You could build any vehicle with the sensor turret, and then select a target. The problem is that the effect is not limited by the sensor range. So you can select something on the other side of the map, and all your arty will blow it up.
One exploit could be to trap the sensor tank withint walls, so it cant move, but will continue making the objetives and the arty will continue destroying things.
Edit: Another weird thing, unrelated to the original post, is that when you use alt+tab or alt+d in windows (win7 here), the mouse cursor stays in the upper left corner of the screen and doesn't move. I tried enabling and disabling the trap cursor and other options, but nothing. Just quitting the game let you use again the cursor in windows.

Re: Please test the 2.3 beta releases!
I would suggest a better notification on the mini-map when you're attacked. There is nothing more frustrating than scouring the map for the turret or oil derrick that is being attacked. Possibly circle the area or make the red dot larger?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Please test the 2.3 beta releases!
I was curious, is the ability to actually select ones starting position in multiplayer/skirmish (and possibly those of the AI as well) one of the upcoming features or hasn't this been decided yet?

So now that scavengers can be in the Skirmish maps do you think we could improve thier AI?

you might want to make them Required when someone designs a new map. to prevent truckrushes,i hate that.
ps sorry for triple post i forgot to edit . im thinking maybe you could design something that would randomly generate scavenger outposts depending on how many Rescource points there are. so like if the rescources are set to high each one will have a small outpost guarding it.

...erm, both of those have been a feature of Warzone since ten years ago.Rider wrote:I was curious, is the ability to actually select ones starting position in multiplayer/skirmish (and possibly those of the AI as well) one of the upcoming features or hasn't this been decided yet?
Click on a player, then click on the number corresponding to the starting position. For the AIs, well, they're already the AIs in that position, but you can adjust them with the difficulty slider.
