Purpose:
Warzone 2100 seriously lacks competitive 1v1 maps. This is the first in a series of maps which will meet this need.
The moguls oblige a player to reconnoiter exhaustively or be flanked on an "open" battlefield.
Background:
Two factions struggle for control of a barren, rocky province. Oil and building space are in equally high demand. A peaceful scavenger village lies in a valuable rad-free zone, oblivious to the conflict. Requisition the supplies you need from the forbidding landscape and defeat your enemy.

That maps looks promising. It has several problems, though. The entrance to the south base is at some places too steep, making droids get stuck. The base start areas are very small, and it is very difficult to build outside the start base areas due to very hilly terrain and non-destructible trees everywhere. The AI in 2.2 will get stuck trying to get to the oil resources behind the river.

Part of the concept of the map as I had envisioned it was making players fight over building space as well as oil. It also effectively forces one to spread out one's buildings, making it harder (but still feasible) to turtle.Background:
