The legit Music Sticky thread

Post by Staff »

This is the place where the original authors of music/song can attach their music to.

Please note, that the music must be your own work, or you have received permission from the music's original author.

There is no other option.

The forum rules state that all content must follow the rules.

When you attach your music to this thread, specify the license you are releasing your work under as well.
The license types can be Public Domain, GPL 2(+) or http://creativecommons.org/license/ (that is a generator for the license) or perhaps something else that fits with warzone's license type, which is GPL 2+.

This thread is NOT to be used for music discussions, you can start your own thread for your specific tune yourself.
All OT discussions will be deleted.

Thanks for understanding!
Sorry, this account has been deactivated.
Please post issues in Website feedback instead, only Moderators can read things there.

These are 4 tracks I made in last years and before the original soundtrack was freed from copyright! There were threads for them in showcase...

All Music is CC-BY-SA
Image <- Click me! :D

You can now find the complete collection of 4 tracks here: http://pouso-g.bandcamp.com/album/warzone-2100-ep
Click on 'Buy it' enter whatever amount you wish for or zero and download them directly in .OGG format. :)

...and some bonus for some tracks:

Pouso-G - All gone:
Source for Remixing:

Original forum thread:
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2041&p=19217
This track made it into a Hip Hop remix in collaboration with Poder Jay from Syracuse, NY. You can listen to it at ReverbNation:
http://www.reverbnation.com/PousoG/song ... roduced-by
You can listen to and download it also on Facebook and like "Pouso-G Music Productions" (Hip Hop/Electronic) if you want here:

Pouso-G - Dark Spirits
More Info in the post!

Pouso-G - Prediction

Pouso-G - Warzone Desolation:
Source for Remixing:

They all fit nicely in the game. Have fun with them!

EDIT: Changed host site to FileSend.net
EDIT II: Changed host site to my own MegaUpload.com Account ;)
EDIT III: Added "Dark Spirits" & "Prediction to this Post + a Megaupload link with all 4 in one single download! :D
EDIT IV: Added a link to the remix of "All gone" on ReverbNation and Facebook! Thanks for the likes! ;)
EDIT 20120205: Switched all downloads to mirrorstack.com and update the other 4 posts for the tracks to point to this post... :D
EDIT 20130217: Again changed all download links. The Mirrorstack stuff is down, so I created an album on bandcamp and also changed the license from CC-BY-NC-SA to CC-BY-SA, as the non-commercial conflicts with the GPL. :D Hopefully this will be the last edit...

Damn, I just took a good listen to the music Powzone posted, they really do sound good.
The first track "Warzone Desolation" suits this game very well, my only complaint is the "i will destroy you" voice, it can stay if it sounded deeper, currently it's a bit too cartoon like :| The light piano is done well, but what I love most about it is the dark eerie theme to it. Sounds like something you'd hear from the original Manhunt game.

"All Gone" is good too, but would be more suited for some down time, when you're researching, base building and stuff. Hey, there's a suggestion for the game, dynamic music...

Ya, anywayz, those two tracks are done well, they really do sound awesome and most importantly, they suit the game. The devs need to take a listen and even incorporate them in the next release. Currently it's just two tracks we have looping and we all know some WZ matches can go for hours, so more music is need.

If you have any more you made, be sure to post them man. Good stuff.

Nuff Respeck

Yeah, 'All Gone' sounds like it was made to be menu music - i think it'd fit that bill really well!

I'll hopefully have a couple of finished songs to post here next month when finals are over. By the looks of it, a lot more people are starting to get involved with music now so maybe this thread will actually get some life to it! :)

Okay, I've just dug up a song I made a few months back.

It's called 'Collective Unconscious' and you can download a .mp3 or .ogg from:

MP3: http://www.mediafire.com/?w2mykdzw1oo

OGG: http://www.mediafire.com/?qemymjfywm1

Here's the original thread for comments/feedback:
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4378

Due to a n00bish mistake with updating my version of FL, I lost the source for this so I can't edit it any further. However, seeing as it's finished (at least to my standards!) I figured I'd post it here to keep Powzone's songs company!

I have some songs that I wrote years ago that are just kicking about doing nothing that I would be honoured to have included in Warzone. I've played a few games whilst listening to them and they're not too intrusive and add a bit of atmosphere!

http://cid-7d5fb24590255bcf.office.live ... ic/Warzone

I haven't got the 'source' for them any longer (although I do have the original wav's if they needed to be converted to a different bitrate or anything) so they would have to be used as is.
