Right now I have no clue how to play the game effectively and I need help. I can only beat the AI on High Ground at the lowest difficulty as of right now.

Are you doing all of 3 and 4, and one of 5-8?

i would personally recommend the resource comment, since large amounts of resources are the key to success.

Start off by building your factory first. Set two trucks in the Que.
when thats done, send two units to start building a power plant. When the power plant is halfway done send one of your two builders to start building a oil derrick.
By the time you do that, one of your trucks should be done, send him to help finish the power plant, when thats done, the oil derrik should have been done or build and you should be working on your next derrick.
Move the two trucks to start working on a research factory. The fourth truck should be built, finish up building the last two derricks if you havn't already.
When you have a research factory build your HQ finally, research the Machine gun, the right after the Harden Bullets, then the Cannon, then research the Machinegun tower. Then Repair bot.
when you have your HQ, go ahead and build another research factory and factory.
by this time you should have had no more then 6 -7 minutes past.
Move two of your trucks out to find the two resources outside your base (or more depending upon the map) use the two in your base to build another power plant.
by now you should have cannons or have machine gun towers, build one or two towers by your oil derricks outside the base to defend them.
When you have cannons instantly design and build at least six of them. And two repair bots if you like, Rush to the next enemy base and take it (it should be fairly easy. ) Also take the two trucks inside your base with you outside.
Research Cannon Hardpoints, it helps.
While your defending the base you just took over, you should become under attack by your first base, the machinegun towers should take care of it. but youll need to reinforce them when they start to bring upgraded units.
This is how to take care of AI CPU players, not actual players btw.

...NO NO NO, no power plants, derricks, or factories. Those aren't nearly as important as research facilities or resource rushing. Seriously, "6-7 minutes past"? I've usually killed one of the AIs by then, and am starting to set up a generator and a power plant in their base.
Research facility first, no matter what. After that, start researching MG, then MG tower. Go out with one truck and start claiming oil. With your other truck, start building a factory.
Once you have the factory done, start cranking out trucks (at least 3) while building a generator and taking care of the oil resources in your base. Meanwhile, you should have claimed quite a few oil derricks outside of your base with your other truck, and defended the outermost ones, giving you a good lead on oil.

i almost always spam units.....
stockpile like 50 units..(light bodies builds the fastest)
and expand if nesserairy and per 2 oil dericks i can build another warfactory which can spam tanks^^

Hey,maaan!One of the best WZ atributes is that there is no way to win!But even if you look on WZ from pink glasses,build factory at first and make trucks!Fast trucks will make any buildings you want earlier then your oponent.Starting with research fatility is mistake.With factory at first,you can make 3 fatilities faster then just 3 fatilities and factory then.

Better bots?It's the same strategic turn as any chess move,but it looks like upgrade.WZ is interesting,only minuses are: some weapons are best,LAN lags and machingun tower war is annoying.
