Re: Russian video from PSX(and misic from...)
About the music, we already have that.
And about the russian translation, it looks like someone is already taking care of it (the .po strings include FMVs subtitles) - it depends if the translator is in need of these strings or not (just be careful as all non-english translation are not part of the GPL)

Is it too large to upload as an attachment here? Try uploading to File Dropper.Phoenix666 wrote:We already have it...but i need to upload somewhere
(One of these days, I'll set up a dropbox on my own server for this kind of stuff.)

i will do it later
Re: Russian video from PSX(and misic from...)
I am not even sure this would be legal or not.
I know they made localized vids for other areas as well, but as far as I know, *only* the ones that were first released in the original archive are the ones that are GPLed.
All the others (including the PSX version) are in legal limbo, so I doubt you will be able to post links to those files.

If the other videos are translations only, then they aren't "original works" and as such not protected by copyright law. I.e. legally they'd be the same thing as the untranslated versions.Buginator wrote:I am not even sure this would be legal or not.

As far as I know, In russia there was no Lisenced translation both on PSX & PC, most of translations are pirates.
When I first time saw waarzone2100 in 2000. It had sucks translation (for Group "Вектор") like in others game in that time.

I don't think that is the case.Giel wrote: If the other videos are translations only, then they aren't "original works" and as such not protected by copyright law. I.e. legally they'd be the same thing as the untranslated versions.
But there is only one person that will have the final say, and that would be Kamaze.

Party pooper to the rescue!
I think we shouldn't touch the PSX-Stuff at all, since it was never part of the relicensing, unless we get an official O.k. Probably something we missed in the dialog with Jaywalker. About the "official" translated PC-Videos, that might be covered if the translations where an in-house work of Eidos.
General rule:
In case of doubt: No
