" A player is missing their truck! "

Post by zydonk »

I'm in the process of converting my old WZ maps for use with v2.1, using WE32.

If I add players to a map in WE32 I always get the message " A player is missing their truck! " when I try to compile it. I have checked the text of the lnd and found trucks related to players (usually two per) as they appear on the map. (There is a post elsewhere that raises this problem, but it wasn't resolved there.) My workround at present is to set up the players etc in WE16, then bring the lnd into WE32 and save it. Then it compiles with no problem.

I created a new map in WE32 and got the same alert when I tried to compile it.

Any suggestions?

AFAIK, there was no logic changes at all to EW32, only made it run on more modern systems, so if it works in the older version it should work in the newer one.

I know Coyote has made many maps using EW32, so he would be the one to know most about it.

You can PM him, or maybe he will see this thread. :)

Right truck? Right, right truck. So there's a "construction droid" and a "constructor droid", and one is good and one is not good, even tho' if you put one of each into a map they will both do everything a good truck should do.

Is it worth asking where the -or truck (and all its friends) came from? I don't see them in WE16.

Anyway, thanks for the assist.
