But, I wouldn't use that format for >256 colors. The pcx format doesn't have a alpha channel, so it would be practically useless if you are doing stuff with alpha. Yeah, there are ways around it, but why bother when another format will suffice.
So there is no issue with using dds? Hmm. Looks like something else to add to my TODO list.
