Nice look! Very stylish ... assuming you have not blown out the polygon budget.

Just want to point out that WZ was released in 1999.

I see you are using WZGM as a base, with 2 new bodies, 2 new weapons, new civilian buildings and some new trees in the background. Are these all your stuff? Looking good, I especially like the triple howizer integrated into the body.

If you woud like to post renders of individual models that would be cool too.

Also, I think map makers would be interested in the new trees and buildings.

@Berg: You certainly found something familiar :) That said, they fit very well with the body.

True. April 1999 retail release. However.... the first playable demo disc was released in 1998.

I would like to point out that most of the content on the tanks was taken from C&C (a lot is taken from Generals) games.
The heavy tank comes to mind if you look at the fact that the body is the Overlord Tank's and the guns are the Inferno Artillery's ( or whatever its name was).
Therefore it's stuff that is copyrighted to EA. As long as you do not distribute it, it should be fine, unless you make your own model.

@Alpha93: After some googling, I found this: http://www.moddb.com/games/cc-generals- ... -artillery and while they are not entirely the same (parts of the barrels are remapped), it's clear that we are talking about a modified copy rather than original content.

Not cool.

That would be a problem for us.

Sharing and re-mixing is good, but it needs to be stuff where you have the right to do so. Giving credit to original sources is also important.

to reduce the model you should use " edit poly " to delete unusable edge to reduce it

here a tracks from WZGM >

see the yellow model the original , the gray is the reduced one

same model but the gray is the half size

also you can delete " face to ground polygon "

So what this guy did was essentially take stuff made by somebody else and claim it was made by him, am I wrong in that?
I would've had no problems if he had given credit where due.

.

In the link Jorzi posted the artist called himself "Creator".

The simple question would be:

Is the artist "Creator" a handle used by Ironsolder some years back ?

The assumption here is that it is 2 different people. It really doesn't have to be.

So... Ironsolder, is "Creator" another one of your handles from back in the day making the work at the posted link your original ? (That is the geometry.... the textures all being from the retail game.)
