Oh, I didn't think about that. So... maybe $12 p.a. is better.vexed wrote:Paypal takes 30 cents per transaction + 3% on top of that. I suppose we can add those options as well.

I do not know who is active here, but I think it is quite possible that some folks cannot (or do not want to) spend $5 every month... With $1, you could give them a chance to participate, and who knows, maybe they will "upgrade" later.
i no £1/£1 ain't much but its all some ppl can afford per month. iwill be willing todo this.
i never use the forums but once in a while il check back here and have a look around and may hv a game online.
I enjoy watching this project grow and it would be a real shame for it to stop.
Re: Donation drive is now live!
$1 / £1 would be mostly lost to transaction costs, so it is not worth it.

$3 is the smallest monthly one I've seen - used by last.fm

We have now gotten our new server. It is blazing fast! Do not worry if there are some service disruptions in the next few days as we move things over.
Thanks to everyone who made this possible!

.
Congrats.
I thought I detected a transition in the server latency optimization with mobile devices using 3g-4g and browsers not running through there own server optimizations, resulting in Error 504 server gateway timeouts that disappeared when using the same browser through W-Fi or other mobile browsers in 3g-4g running requests through own server optimizations first.

Re: Donation drive is now live!
Sorry, we just have PayPal for now. Adding additional payment processors is a lot of work.
Re: Donation drive is now live!
It seems that PayPal is active in China, too: http://owenhaacke.com/before-opening-a- ... d-to-know/jamesdean wrote:is there any suggestions
and a chinese site (I hope it is useful - Google translator could not translate it for me into English or German): https://www.paypal.com/cn
@wayne and aubergine: Save the money you want to donate for 6 or 12 months and make a single donation then.
Re: Donation drive is now live!
Agreed. If a Bitcoin address is provided I will donate 0.2 BTC. (~$20)carlosjhr64 wrote:Put up a Bitcoin address for donations too.
It only takes about 10 minutes to set up the wallet.
