About high oil FFA : We fight to gather ressources. We are already full of ressource in squared. There is no danger an enemy could become stronger by obtaining more territories. Squared push the silliness to the limit because there is no proximity issues since every one are at egal distance of each other. Hidding inside your base and NEVER sending any attack waves is the optimal option in squared. You hide in the corner until only 2 survivors remain. Than, the one of those who received the less random attacks eventually win.
That's the ultimate strategie in Squared and it's obvious. Skill or technologie branch might affect somewhat the result. But nothing have much impact than another player randomly chosing you for a strike with any purpose. And since it's a war game and there is no point but to attack people, the peace never last and the outcome is screwed by random decisions.
