FlaME -- The Warzone 2100 Map Editor
Re: FlaME -- The Warzone 2100 Map Editor
AlphaThor01 at the same time I strongly advise to read the manual. The manual is few lines beneath the links to the program. I suggest to use it wise as there was a time when there was no manual, and apparently it is the same now.

Even though I use windows 7, that helped a lot. Thanks!

It works almost everywhere. And even the manual

I will tell you in a secret that which zip is appropriate for me, and placing it into a program, were the two things I asked mainly Flail most often
Now do create something for us

Flail13 hasn't apparently visited since August 29, 2012.

And that is the thing that scares me the most here now! I also alarmed about it few times already

Re: FlaME -- The Warzone 2100 Map Editor
Hmm. Suddenly stuck on my netbook FlaME doesn't load any png textures, and then starts complaining about missing textures when loading the pie files ("Texture ... was not loaded"). archlinux, mono 2.10.8.
I traced the problem to the GL.GenTextures call at modBitmap.vb:64: it always returns (sets its second argument to) 0, while it should always return a unique texture identifier. Google seems to say that it only happens when the opengl context is not initialized. Checking out GL.GetError before this call returns 0.
Anybody had that?

Re: FlaME -- The Warzone 2100 Map Editor
FlaME has a fork on the warzone2100 github. Assuming *.someone decides to learn VB.Net well enough to begin moving development forwards on it again there would likely be some additional features added, such as:
- Stuctures & Features editing like with Droids' template builder
- 3.1+ render support
- Tileset, Decal and Palette editing
- conversion routines for .txt to .ini
- GUI campaign and mission design
- INTMESSAGE and Beacons generator from points in the Labels interface
... and yes, it's on my ever-increasing "todo" list. Hehe
[EDIT] Or we could start helping Emdek with his QT-Based Map Editor and do it as a team.

Goth Zagog-Thou when you happen to talk to Emdek, please say to him, that I asked -"Why did he hold his horses on working on his editor" he will understand
I did not know also you work on FlaMe?

What we really need right now is an updated manual.

Because Emdek has bigger fish frying nicely in a pan with some olive oil and chives at the moment.
Re: FlaME -- The Warzone 2100 Map Editor
I believe.
But Emdek is from Poland too. And with this horse phrase I was referring, and teasing about the citys name he lives near to. It is something like horse city if we insist on exact translation

Re: FlaME -- The Warzone 2100 Map Editor
ok, wut was the last thing flail posted on this thread? oh ya it was...
did i mention that I miss him?
i think he tried to fix it, then his comoputer got mad and ate him. or it just got angery and broke down, and he has lost all of his data, now hes just afraid to come back on and admit that he had no backups. that would embarase me too. but i keep all my maps backed up on three different media forms, so i dont think ill ever have to worrie.Flail13 wrote:Really? Why not?
There's a bug in 1.29 where it wont load object data, unless you make the object data you use the first one in the list.
If downloading isn't causing the problem, maybe that is it.
